How to save money on transportation via mutual aid
A - Find generous trustworthy people who want to share rides or vehicles
B - Pay MAN hours for rides from other members. It's standard to offer gas money but people often accept another partial MAN hour or no gas money - the key is open communication about expectations
C - Use a Common Good card or cashless credit for transportation from participating taxi or bus systems
D - Borrow from the Common Fund to purchase or maintain a vehicle, individually or collectively
E - Create or participate in an enterprise that coordinates peer-to-peer ride shares, collectively buys and maintains a wheelchair-accessible van, or other item that meets community needs. A Dreamer membership in the HUMANs could help you realize your vision.
F - You know the drill, get a f'ing job. And don't forget to ask for help when you need it!
