We are welcoming people who have been at MoDi but won’t be around past 10/27, and will expect these to be the biggest working sessions.

Retreat plan

What: A free-flowing set of work sessions learning and working in-depth on topics relevant to building a commons-supporting economy. Some sessions are geared to move forward on designing and implementing a multi-stakeholder cooperative business model to build, adapt, steward, and share a tech and communications infrastructure capable of making a thriving mutual aid-supported economy. We'll do some topical and structured work sessions, some small group work, some open big-picture discussions, and share enough down time to get to the really interesting stuff.

Participants are invited (but not required) to propose topics and help shape and facilitate sessions.

‘No weaseling” policy: While some of us do expect to end up in an official multi stakeholder cooperative, endeavor, it is not assumed that any participants will be working together in any ongoing way or committing to any formal structure other than what you choose to engage with explicitly. The purpose is fruitful collaboration, however it can be achieved.z

Desired outcomes

  • Learn together
  • Forge new collaborative partnerships
  • Create media together - short videos, curriculum
  • Move forward on cooperative tech+communications infrastructure and partnerships

We will organize timing of sessions based on when specific participants are available, so let us know your needs. Propose sessions.
