Hello friends of Mutual Aid Networks,
We are excited to share some news with you, and make some big strides forward in knitting together a cooperative mutual aid-supportive economy.
This month we present at the Monetary Diversity Gathering in Brussels, then we host 2 days of satellite events where we knit together an action plan to bring ideas and partnerships to fruition. We'll work on cooperative business models for resilient mutual aid economy systems, international alliances and coalitions, and housing commons. We'll be getting practical and actionable!
Then a smaller group of us, representing HUMANs, Community Exchange Network, Monetary Diversity Network, Community Forge, and more, will embark on a retreat at a fledgling eco-village, where we can get some in-depth work done. HUMANs, CEN, and Community Forge have recently cemented our partnerships and will be working on a variety of fronts including tech development, funding and governance development, and communications.
Finally, Gorazd and I will head to Lisbon for the 6th International Conference on Social and Solidarity Economy and the Commons where we will both offer workshops.
We expect to return from this trip with real, concrete, actionable items we can apply in our various communities.
We are so pleased to have a pledge for our travel expenses to make this possible. Now we're asking you to contribute for the rest. We do expect to come out of this with developments that will make life easier and more fun, and more dependable, for people who want a lively humanhood doing what you like to do, the things that nourish you and your community.
We'll be happy to accept some of your money-as-usual and use it to turn the ship around.
Yes, we're sharing a link to paypal so you can donate. We expect to have better options to offer for this soon too :)
